To your first question, no I haven't heard that, but your philosophy professor sounds like an idiot, who is afraid of discussing opposing views.

Now to your second question. I know Mr. Soros, who is part of the 1%, made his fortune through a hedge fund that makes money through currency speculation. This has happened with England in 1992, and with the U.S.'s Quantitaive Easing 2 (QE2).

@heavym3tal I actually read one of his books by him and one about him. The people who need to be incarcerated & investigated are the Bush Family and all the living, acting neocons. Look up Prescott Bush, he was far more a Nazi than Soros. The problem w/ right wing youtubers is that they are lazy fuckers who get tube fed by Roger Ailes.
