From the works of Enlighetened Master Paramahamsa Nithyananda. In this talk Nithyananda expounds on Shiva Sutras which are techniques given by Shiva to Devi to directly experience enlightenment. Nithyananda beautifully describes differences between courage and fearlessness. You source of power and inspiration is based on external objects. If your identity is based on society you live in fear. This clip is taken from discourse titled Beyond Body and Mind which may be ordered at www.AnandaGalleria.com.

  • I guess if you are afraid of a poisonous spider and try to actually pick it up with your bare hands whilst still feeling just as afraid of it, then there is courage. But if you wear a pair of thick gloves, then you can pick it up, being fearless. But the goal of picking up the spider is achieved nonetheless, however the fear has not actually been conquered.
