Economist Paul Romer uses the Chinese incorporation of Hong Kong as an example of peaceful conquest of territories. Romer argues that similar methods of entry can be used to rebuild troubled nations without the use of war.

Paul Romer is a Senior Fellow in the Stanford Center for International Development (SCID) and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). His contributions to the field of economics include being the primary developer of New Growth Theory, which reduces the traditional emphasis on the scarcity of objects and directs attention to the power of new ideas. His theory has brought renewed optimism about the potential for growth in both advanced and developing economies. For his work on the economics of ideas, Paul was named one of America's 25 most influential people by TIME magazine (1997), elected a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2000) and awarded the Horst Claus Recktenwald Prize in Economics (2002). He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Fellow of the Econometric Society.

@2xtream You have to consider that the guy in the video may not be interpreting the information properly. He may also be reading his own fears and predudices into it. The anarchist maxim of "Trust no one, question everything, believe nothing" applies across the board. Get ahold of this guys source material and spend some time on it. Don't just take someone elses word for it. You talk about being "awake" but how lucid are you really? Question EVERYTHING...

@2xtream I don't really care what it saysin the 14th or any other amendment as I am not a citizen of USA. In anycase I can see no reason to believe that it makes you a slave. When you tell me to "get educated" I can't help but wonder how well educated you are. I think you should try to get the source material for those dirtyunclesam videos and read through it yourslef. I had to pause the video to read what was shown and it did not seem congruent with what the guy was saying...

@2xtream What makes you so sure that I am blind to corruption. Just because I do not subscribe to a hopeless, negativistic world view does not mean that I am "asleep". I have hope for humanity and hope for my future. That does not mean I am not warey of those who will try to deceive me. Or of those who will try to steal from me. Just as I am warey of those who will quote movie dialogue in an attempt to persuade me of something. Brainwashed by the TV indeed. Hah!
