Muslim women today are rediscovering the pristine Islam as revealed by Allah, God, to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, more than 1,400 years ago but without any of the contradictions of ancestral culture. Consequently they are essentially engaging in a life-long exercise of rediscovering their own selves what it means to be a human, a Muslim, and more so, a Muslim woman. Wearing the Divinely Mandated hijab, the veil or head covering, as a part of their everyday dresses is among the first steps toward this rediscovery.

In a society which shamelessly publicly exposes a womans body and intimate requirements where nudity somehow symbolizes the expression of a womans freedom and where the most lustful desires of men are fulfilled unchecked it is little wonder such an introspection leads many Muslim women to the decision to wear hijab. @BuxWV184 Islam used to be a question mark to the westerns years ago. i beleive that how open minded the westerns are will push them to read more about Islam before judging muslims..

Judging Islam by some muslims acts is horrible,, as we cant judge Christians by knowing Adolf Hitler's history, or judging Jew by the acts of Israel.... In most cases reading about Islam from it's true sources has ended with individuals becoming a muslims.. or at-least respecting it's followers choices..

Subhan'Allah I feel the Same everytime when i go to the market everyone stare and says you arab go back, and im looking at them like first of all i'm not Arab, not saying anything about arab's but they think everyone who wears Niqab is Arab. May Allah Guide Those Who Are Ignorant. Ameen
