First part of a go-kart/shifter kart/karting 3D modeling time lapse.
I used Wings3D but software is irrelevant, Wings, Blender, Softimage, 3ds Max, Maya, Lightwave or whatever have the same tool set some named differently, but move, rotate, scale, extrude etc are standard. I've used Wings3D 1.1.6 (which is not the recent version but I'm used to it), I use Maya camera mode because of [Alt]-LeftClick rotation.
I usually start with a cube, cut it in half, select & delete one half and then mirror the remaining geometry, the rest of the process is pretty basic: extrude, rotate, flatten, scale, connect, inset, bridge faces etc(all commands accessible from Right-Click menu), I have 'T' for 'tweak'.
'1' to toggle between 'magnet' and 'tweak', 'L' to loop select, 'C' to cut.

This looks so much easier to use than 3DS max. Is it easier? If you have used 3dsmax

@Theigthacked Yes I have used 3ds Max (When it was Discreet not Autodesk) for me Wings is quicker than Max, it is all about simplicity with Wing, minimum interface etc, but wings is strictly modeling software so you will need something else for rigging, animating or rendering.
