Info I have so far is that power outages were caused by human error and/or copper thieves cutting cables to steal them. If anyone has any evidence that this was caused by solar flares please let me know.

Soo glad someone noticed, we are in complete darkness. Able to use Internet on ipad2 with battery pack. Here in San Diego we are gonna have a beautiful night sky. Let's hope it's back on by tomorrow it nit sounding good though.
