Training with Master Lot Villabrille (The cousin of Master Floro VillabrilleSr) in August 2009. Master Lot has been the unfortunate victim of several bladed assailants and graciously shared his experience and art. Master Lot was influenced by the "Ginunting" and "Llave Cadena" styles.

His portrait adorns the cover of the great book "Cebuano Eskrima - Beyond the Myth".

  • What's the style/system called?

  • Master Lot (like a lot of older Eskrimadors) doesn't have a packaged name for his art. He did say that the movements were from the "Ginunting" style. Hope this helps...

  • @BahadZubuPlayer

I am from Cebu Philippines. "Gunting" is the root word of "Ginunting." And in the Philippines, "Gunting" means "Scissors." So, probably, the style he is using is something like scissors.

  • @judazantos

Yes, "scissors" like motion is common in many FMA styles...

The "No blocking" however, is not ;)
