Yes, the song "Our God, He Is Alive" in our songbook should be sort-of our unofficial theme song. Our local church in a small town, with only about 350 in attendance on Sunday, rattles the stained glass with this song.

Song was written in late 60's in response to a scientist who published article stating that there is no God now; there once was, but He is now dead. I was working at a newspaper in B'ham, Al., and remember all the rebuttals and comments this man's article created.

We sang this song at my husbands funeral. It made me smile to know that there IS A GOD! :)
