I bought one when they first came out. I remember it tank-slapping everywhere! Then Suzuki recalled it and put a hell ugly steering dampner on it. Used to take it to the track the the rotary dampner would go off after about 15 minutes and it would bounce and wollow all over the place! Great bikes have character and this was a great bike for sure! I really miss it

How reliable is this bike? I'm about to buy a 1997 Suzuki 1000 TLS. Has 21K miles on it.

Are they standard pipes? Never seen one with standard pipes. Mine has Yoshimura RS-3 pipes and they sound awesome and produce much more power...

Yes it had the original pipes. Sound was nothing special. TL1000 needs special pipes. ;)
