Know why you want to do something, and the how will be much easier. As Jerry says, be doing what you're doing, and don't pretend it's something else. My morning walks and bike rides have never settled in as a habit because I saw them primarily as physical exercise, although I knew that the benefit I really cared about was how it cleared my head and lifted my mood. Those seemed like selfish reasons, so I pretended they were peripheral. And didn't get the job done. I'm starting over, really believing that I do this because it's completely unselfish to take positive steps (hah) to a good attitude and clear thinking.
