@lordtains bagua never makes too many movements, it's just a matter of who is demonstrating it and what they know about it. Every move has arguably hundreds of purposes!

This is a great video, in my 17 years training martial arts, i haven't met but a handful of girls/women who had real authority with their technique, and NONE in my taiji / internal arts experience! Accept of course a Sifu I trained with for a while who was a 53 yr old woman from Shanghai. It's really great!

btw is this yin style? or another style. I'm mainly familiar to Cheng style, but I believe that there is only one true bagua style, if that makes sense.

it is a mixed style - influenced by many different things. I think there is a fair amount of Silat in it.

bagua can be linear if it wants to be or circular if it wants to be - xingyi is certainly the same. I think it is a mistake to believe any of the simplistic ideas about martial arts - there may be certain emphases or tendencies, especially early in one's studies, but any martial art gets more complex as you delve deeper into it. Look for the straight in the curved and vice versa. The flight of a rifle bullet is longer and straighter than it would otherwise be because it is spinning.

@lordtains no bagua is indirect nd circular, martial arts like xingyi and wing chun are direct and linear!

Sometimes I see Bagua that makes too many movements. Your Bagua is almost like Wing Chun: direct, no unnecessary movements. I like it! I hope my Baguazhang lessons will be like this.
