John Shuttleworth classic - poignant look at the past with the usual tongue in cheek humour that Graham Fellows does so well!
Crich Tram Museum, Black Jacks, Sturmey Archer gears are all mentioned....just watch out for those Jaspers...(they're wasps if you didn't know....ooph!) . Look out for John on tour soon - A Man with No More Rolls...(Oct 2010)

  • Really liked the version of this he did with Leo Sayer on Radio Shuttleworth. I miss the harmonies in the chorus. Wonder if there were royalty issues over Leo's vocal appearing on The Dolby Decades (this) version.

  • i was at the crich tram museum last autumn.

  • I remember going to the Chich Tram Museum and Mam Tor when attending a weeks outing in Derbyshire, whilst I was at Junior school. Never been there since, though.

  • I still call wasps "jaspers", have done since i was little, anyone know where this comes from ?

  • dad.....is that you?

  • Very good song, how have I missed this classic ?

  • I was there with a friend called Ian

  • He did a version of this with Leo Sayer

  • @rjwondna Peter's bread and Houmous... dirty stuff

  • Don't say that, you'll dent his confidence!

  • No more rolls; not roles! As in no morals but Ken made a mistake with the tour leaflet. Half-baked if you ask me.
