A demonstration of how the Kuhn Rikon White Safety Lid Lifter Can Opener works. Opening cans can be dangerous when you're left with sharp edges on the can and the lid. With the Safety Lid Lifter Can Opener, you'll eliminate these potential kitchen hazards by removing the lid completely without ever having to touch it. The cutter removes the top portion of the lid just below the rim of the can, and an exclusive lid gripper lifts the lid off completely. This product is available at www.cooking.com.

  • it dosn't cut the can it just un crimps t5he lid

  • The accomplishment of my week is figuring out how to use this can opener after 10 years.

  • Very good when new and using the right can. Does not work with all cans and works particularly poorly with basic or value range cans. Limited life and even with light use it did not make a full year of use! Over-priced and poor value for money.

  • You SHOULD not put the lid back on. Some cans say so, but store leftovers in tupperware.

  • thank you very much! :) it's so easy when you know how it works ^^

  • Does this style can opener last longer than the traditional style? Mine go dull so quickly, it's rediculous.

  • Thanks a lot! I've had the opener for a while and just couldn't figure out how it works. Thanks again!!!

  • You just saved me after 15 mins of trying to guess how to use it!! Thank you so much!!

  • I don't bother using the pliars with mine. Once you have totally opened the tin take the Kuhn Rikon off then place your whole hand over the top with your fingers resting down the side. Pull the hand up and the lid will come with it.

  • omg, this can opener has been in my kids play stuff b/c it confused me to no end. it has been almost thrown through the window...but now, WOW. amazing. thank you soooo much for teaching me how to use this thing.
