wikipedia has an article on the carbon tax citing countries where it has already been implemented. i see how it is inteneded to promote clean and free energy like wind turbines and solar, but as far as the taxation funds and their distribution, i'm not so sure if that is necessary.

I should say that the water that comes off a methane burning engine is sterile like distilled water and can be drunk or used as sterile distilled water would be. A family home might capture 5 gallons/heating day. The only difficulty with methane is that it needs to be compressed and strored in special tanks or underground in a gas wells. Natural gas could be compressed at home. That's a good thing for CNG charging your car. The best answer will be buried, because the best answer is too good.

Compressing methane=biogas=(CNG), is probably not a huge deal. Although compressed natural gas (CNG) has high energy density , it could be safely stored in a high pressure tank or tanks in a outside area, if a local month's supply was required. For cars a carbon fiber tanks would apparently be the thing to store CNG. This would work better than gasoline, with less carbon dioxide and more clean water in the exhaust. CNG requires no refinement, and can be stored in quantity in depleted wells.

Government makes the process dirty and complex, because there is a natural tendency in hierarchy to empower the maze and make it impossible to escape. Good simple answers are simply wrong to big government. They would chose to make problems more complex and costly. What if you could generate all your energy on 500 square feet. That would be a huge government UH OH and OH NO! Methane would be better than ethanol for most apps. CNG is apparently being used in the LA basin to help clean air.

This all makes perfect sense. So we have a huge international scam to get the money flowing in certain directions. My idea is to first start generating electric at or near one's house with natural gas and using the waste heat for home heating. This way you would use much less fuel of a much cleaner nature. Plus methane is the simplest to produce bio-gas. It is the same one that comes out of the rear end of cows and people, and can be produced in a "digester"
