This was an early 80s disco that is originally a 33rpm. But like alot of music in the disco and club scene in the early 80s, alot of music was sped up because it just sounded better as a High Energy music dance tune. Thats just the way it was back then.

  • Love this song! The speed is so 80s!! You gotta be from LA to understand.

  • @ClaudyoT Exactly, The idiot that commented on this probably break dance or slow danced to it. L.A. gave birth to High Energy. All the bitches went crazy for high energy dancers.

  • @Daddybopper I Agree with you, Dj's from L. A. used to play it this fast and also songs like:

CALLING ALL BOYS, PASSION, I NEED LOVE, and many more...

  • AWESOME CLASSIC IN THE NYC... hey Alvin can you please change the RPMS?

  • This has to be a joke even though I know it's not-no one above the age of 5 is down with the chimpmunks version played at the wrong speed...at the original speed this is CLASSIC NYC 1982 production/underground...hearing this at correct speed u r inevitably transported back to the floor of the "G", with the world's best soundsystem and Larry pumpin it . Or the streets and parks of NYC, via huge boxes tuned to KISS and WBLS FM and "extended commercial-free music sweeps". This sounds ridiculous.

  • @hardcorehouse Agreed bro. I never heard anything like this.

  • Dunno, man, I was a DJ in the 80's at a Manhattan club and I never heard anyone ever do this. I mean, sure play it any way you want, but I can pretty much guarantee no major club jock did something like this in the 80's.

  • @ralphmerced Have you heard of HIGH ENERGY? This was played as such in many clubs in L.A.. If you or anybody else dont like it, Go fuck yourselves. Its my record, and i will play it however the fuck I please!

  • tweak

  • LOL .. at them Hi-NRG haters, that is how it was done back in the day at real clubs in L.A. when these tunes came out, and yes we did dance to this at this speed, it was wig out fun, carefree and you just let go on the dancefloor, almost trance like I may add.
