After leading St. Joseph High School of Metuchen, NJ to the New Jersey state championship at the age of 15, he then moved on to have one of the biggest summers of his young career by playing for the Dominican Republic national team under John Calipari. Currently a rising junior after reclassifying up, Towns announced his early commitment on December 4th, 2012 to play for the Kentucky Wildcats. His reclassification to the class of 2014 will drop him from a national ranking of #1 in 2015 to #3 in 2014 according to ESPN.

Did we mention he just had a growth spurt?? In this video he was 6'11 but over the off-season he grew a few inches and he's 7 feet and a half now.

dude when i was in my grow spurt my knees hurted so bad and i only went from 149cm to 164 cm. So it really doesnt matter how old u are. If u frow a lot in a short time ur knees hurt anyways
