no they don't know russel at all..they started filming 20 before 19 aired so he is a complete stranger to them..which is a big advantage for him in season 20..cuz he would be the first off otherwise.

They were all told about Russell and what he did in his season, they did the same thing with Amanda, James and Rupert when they came back before their original season aired, that's why Parvati said making a deal with Russell is like making a deal with the devil, she already knew how he plays.

And Russell hadn't watched much Survivor before going on HvV, he only watched one season, so most people were complete strangers personally, and by memory.

@IceYourPimpHand having returning players in any combination isn't 'fair' for the game. it messes the whole thing up. But Russell did have an advantage in the others not having seen his game play, and not knowing that it would be best to get rid of him quickly.

your argument contradticts itself. either it's a disadvantage to not be known, or it's unfair to be known. which is it? or is poor russell always persecuted unfairly?

his other advantage in HvV was them tipping Parvati off to him.

So the audience voted to give the guy who owns an oil company $100,000, and not to the guy who unfortunately had to leave on a medical, and who needed it?!? Not only did they do that, but Russell Swan didn't even make it to the top three voted for that?!? This just supports what I usually say...
