Hammer did fall several times but was cushioned by GH Bush being financially responsible (raising taxes) and clinton improving the economy/creating jobs.

Reagan & GW exemplify the results of electing shallow leaders, men who cannot inspire to lead but won popularity contests by appealing to the most basic of human desires.

Absolutely, when you mention this to conservatives they will say that all doesnt matter because Reagan defeated the soviets - to which I normally say NO, Carter defeated the soviets by signing the law ordering the CIA to help the afghan resistance Reagan only continued it.
