I remember this! I bought my dog during that flood and had to get down to missouri to get her. The majority of the road was flooded so they had baracades up and gravel down so people could get through.
I don't know if itsi n here, but a loose barge actually hit the train bridge, we were driving to Farmers Market, and saw that a barge hit the train bridge.. pretty bad flood.
Wow, I was down there at the station watching trains last Sunday...it is just amazing how much water got up there last year. The BNSF cleared out their entire yard as well...
I was actually going to move into the Burlington Apartments before the flood. We are finally going to move there in about a week. It is terrible for all of the families who had to go through that devastation. God Bless.

Burlington was hardest hit, estimated 700,000 eorth of damage.
I lived in burlington up until 09
lived there my whole life.
