Memorial to Alan Walter: Always a Fighter
He was a fighter, a friend and a father.
He hated injustice and he loved life.
A trade unionist, a campaigner against racism, a Socialist Workers Party member,
he inspired people to stand up for their rights.
He should have lived longer and will be missed by many people.

@joemcintyre94 You can denounce them as is your right, however and I deplore them also, it is a person's inalienable right to not be altruistic. If a person becomes a millionaire, and decides against charitable actions, then he is entitled to do so out of property rights. The preclusion of property rights is the beginning of encroaching totalitarianism, unless we retain our financial agency we cannot be free.

you stated millionaires as if that is some kind of problem

@monkfish14
I never denied their right to become a millionaire, but I denounce them if they do not care for their fellow human beings, as I do with anybody else no matter their background or income.
Here's your problem, you have conjured up this idea OUT OF NOWHERE that you think somebody owes me something, I have not said this, PLEASE tell me where you got this from. Quote me.
I NEVER said anything which could even imply I think that. Same old tory liars.

@joemcintyre94 Nothing wrong with being a millionaire every man and women deserve the right to be as they want to be, but your view of someone owes you something is not mine!!!

@monkfish14
Individualistic, you truly are a tory. Do you not care about the MILLIONS that lost their jobs and homes to Thatcher? She destroyed communities that had been there for hundreds of years. You are selfish, and clearly only care about your OWN individual material gain. People like you are the reason we have those millionaires in cabinet 'representing' us.

@nbm34 i agreed with you up until OBVIOUSLY.
How in my post have you determined i have a brain of a fish and no friends Obviously socialists have a sixth sense or something, I stand by my first comment thank you Lady Thatcher!!

@monkfish14 Obviously you have the brains of a fish,and your lack of freinds a possible reason for this.Thatcher was not doing this to benifit of the working class.If you knew what realy happened then Thatcher and her ilk were caught buying up council homes through agencies,and loans to the poor to get rents from them etc.Privatising the railways giving 340 million of taxes to them , with
their fingers in the pie in shares. The Tories where and still are SCUM. You are
the reason they exist.

I lived on a council estate and Thatcher gave my parents the chance to own their own home now they are in their retirement they have a sense of security and something to hand down to me and my brother.
How can you be against that?
Thank You Margeret Thatcher!!

What a moving speech - I didn't know Alan very well - but he was a principled socialist who did so much for council tenants
