[Notes:NIFONg in court]Nifong led a rape case against the players that made national headlines in 2006. [Notes:file of home where party happened] He based the charges on a woman who claimed she was raped at a lacrosse party in this home in March 2006. [Notes:FILE OF nIFONG IN COURT] State prosecutors cleared the players and disbarred Nifong who ended up spending a night in jail. He eventually filed for bankruptcy after he was sued by the players.
