Digital data loss is one of the lurking problems of our modern day lives. The illusion of indestructible data in the internet is wide-spread, although with every save of every picture we automatically loose a part of the data, and unless it is saved on our harddrive, there is no physical place we really know of where our data is saved. Also, we beginn to represent ourselves more and more in a digital way, and the reality of knowing one another becomes less important. We build up digital identity and interact with each other in a digital way. Our representation in the internet is often a digital picture of ourselves. But how does a digital picture build up, what is it made of? And how much of it stays, how much is lost on the way? The Film and the project is about those questions.
