Doesn't work with Cafe Invento / My Invento machines - the regular coffee filters aren't perorated enough and it just spills out over the top.

Mine did the same! I think it could be I used grease proof cake cup, making it waterproof.
Are there non-waterproof ones??

No, they're just the cap from a spice bottle {black) and a cheap plastic measuring cup (hazy clear). Any two appropriately sized items that you have around will work.
