  • Nope, here in the US we can get 120, 240, and 480.

    The average home has 240 power. Here at our house, we have a 400 amp 240VAC single phase service.

  • @hootergirlsrhot nope, both run on 240.

  • @soccerdude7330 actually it's ran split phase, your house should have 2 120 lines coming in, but by using a hot-hot instead of hot-neutral connection, you get 240.

  • @soccerdude7330 And 460 in some cases. There is also the option of three phase power.

  • i thought that the rotator and chopper motor run on 120vac, or is that on some tbolts

  • Don't forget that you can see 208Y120, 240D120, 277Y480 or 120/240V 1 phase in a commercial building as well. Most sirens get powered by three phase running at 208 (Wye) or 240 (Delta) or even 480 for larger ones.
