This video was written and produced after Leadnow.ca hosted a cross-country process that brought generations of Canadians together online and in their local communities to create the Declaration for Change. All told, the process involved over 80 local events and 4,000 online participants.

The Declaration for Change calls for political cooperation to build a stronger democracy that protects our environment, creates economic opportunity while increasing equality, and guarantees that everyone receives the care they need.

  • The point is to EDUCATE yourself so you can make a better choice, NOT insult each others' political choices.

  • Canadians need to all wake up. It seems the kids may be waking up, after all we have the most to lose. How long should we let foreign corporations steal our resources for profit? To all you conservatives out there, explain to us and yourself why you will vote conservative. Is it because you are christian? Is it because your parents did? Is it because you are scared of terrorist? Do you want to see your tax dollars go to bombing foreign countries because TV said so? Think for yourself, then vote!

  • @NarsilRenewed It IS a commercial spoof -the "I Am Canadian" campaign the Molson did a few years ago...

  • The lame music score really undermines the power of the message. I kept thinking this is one of those sarcastic commercial spoofs the entire time. Turned out it's a straight-faced one...

  • @makortoff doubt that it would be worse but possible it could be better. At least it would shake the main parties to do better if they want to get in again. It can't be good to be arrogant enough to think you will get the job all the time. Then there is NO Respect of the people's needs.

  • Remember that it's always possible to vote against, if you can't find anything concrete to vote for. Strategic voting can help avoid the outcome you don't want. Minority governments aren't necessarily a bad thing. Better than a majority for an outcome you don't want.

  • @Borodinify You make a good point. So, if we go below that 30% and become illegimate, then what happens? Are we stuck in a dictatorship, or can something be done?

  • @6648rome but for better or worse?
