Aberdeen Wayne Recycling REL (in action) Dec 13 & 20, 2011

Here we have a City of Aberdeen, Maryland, Department of Public Works recycling truck. It is a Freightliner M2 106 with a 20 cubic yard Wayne Phoenix rear load collection body. I don't know of many videos featuring a larger Wayne rear load body, so I'm hoping you all enjoy this one.

This was shot by another person and given to me as a gift.

@lawnboy1010 I'm not really sure where they keep these trucks, but I think they only have a few - maybe 2 or 3 trucks total.

Awesome footage! Really liking the looks of those Wayne RLs as this is the first one I've ever seen on route. The other person shooting this did a great job! Nice intro as well.

@stro1962 I imagine so, I know I've been on a rear load truck in the past, and it's no easy task. I know that recycling collection is easier than garbage on a rear loader because the material tends to be lighter weight, but there's still a ton of running around.

Awesome truck! I remember your vid of the McNeilus they run, great stuff. Cool to see an RL crew run around getting a workout, really earning their pay. Way more entertaining to watch.

Awesome!! I didn't think Wayne sold many of this model RL body, but I guess I was wrong in a way.
