Somehow this sounds more acoustic than the acoustic ones. Weird.

@6487upt : though i guess it's safer to say that if i were to use other strings rather than the "proprietary" strings that comes w/ the Kala solid body Ubass it would probably damage the wooden holes through string i.e. metal or steel rubbing on wood! also (depends on the individual bassist) is fretless much safer to use rather than the fretted models so that the proprietary string could last longer?

@6487upt : thx so much, now understand why in some videos the Kala reps talk about the lubrication on the nut. i was jus a bit confused bout the nut issue so again thank u for the response, cheers! x0]

@tornmask1 Hi-I don't know if I understand you question but regarding the lubrication a little graphite will allow the poyurethane strings to move more freely thru the nut slot while tuning. It is possible to use other strings on the bass.

@kalabrandmusic : aloha mr. Upton, ques: how does the lubrication works on the solid body U-bass nut & can the bass use other short scale strings besides the polyurethane strings? thx in advance, cheers! x0]
