CASE 001 - Cooley Family Massacre 1836 Fort Lauderdale Florida

Ashley investigates the gruesome Cooley Family Massacre. There are several theories regarding the motivation for the attack in the middle of the night. One of the most plausible explanations is that the Cooley family settled and built on some of the very best fishing areas on the New River. Another theory is that the attack was actually revenge for an earlier conflict. Either way Ashley is equipped with some of the latest gadgets in paranormal investigation.

This area, commonly referred to as Birch State Park is an area that lies between the ocean and the intracoastal waterway north of what is now known as Sunrise Blvd. The park is mostly thick canopy tropical jungle, and surrounds a small salt water lagoon that was formed when a hurricane hit the barrier island landlocking open estuaries.
