@thallassocracy I wouldn't describe this film as being dreadful. You're being a bit harsh. Yeah, it's not great by any means but LSD was a very topical subject back in the day (mid to late 60's) and very filmmakers even tried to capture just a whee bit of what an LSD trip could be like, not that this came terribly close anyway. But the film is important from an historical viewpoint. What other movies explored a trip on LSD so overtly?

The great thing about the '60's was that the drugs were better, the music was better, and the sex was better.
There were some dreadful films around (including this one) - but somehow we managed.
