  • I understand the logic behind the dangers of deflation, but it seems that human nature would more than compensate for mild deflation. According to the theory, under deflation people won't buy stuff because it will be cheaper tomorrow. In reality people are extremely impatient and aren't going to wait a year to buy a bike thinking that it will be 20% cheaper next year. The entire electronics industry excels and it's in a persistent state of deflation. Bernanke does have a nice beard though.

  • @ScubaSteve1974 The thing is the government should leave us alone. Boom and bust is a normal cycle of a civilization. They are so bent on us not having a bust that they are going to cause one, one that will collapse economies. If you look at Greece, their economy is bust. They have rioting, they bombings, two years ago Greece was a civilized country it is a war zone now. Greece is selling off islands to meet budgets. Their economy was so artificially inflated and mismanged it has brought

  • I know the video and audio of this video is completely computer generated, but why does it stick a "the" in front of every noun or name? I thought these just read a script.

  • @ScubaSteve1974 I wondered about that too, but maybe it was foreigner that wrote it? Most languages other than English puts a 'The' infront of a noun...I don't know why. I was wondering too

  • That's great...Next do one on the housing bubble...That should be rich...

  • @raffaela59 I cannot take credit for this masterpiece. Youtube said someone owned it, I think the credit is on the video, so I think I am OK copy right wise.

  • This is very cute. But it omits some key points, like the fact that quantitative easing basically takes away from the debt without raising taxes or cutting spending. Also, the evils of deflation are very real (see Japan). But it makes two great points: Inflation on basic goods is very high, driven by rising food and gas prices. And the Fed really should be buying its bonds from itself, not Wall Street.

  • @Ramoza1 I think it makes the video even more fun. "The Bernank", it makes it seem like he is a thing like a machine

  • This is brilliant and funny. Nicely done.
