PART ONE AVAILABLE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF THE ARTICLE....

This is about discovering lost Brisbane history ,as a gardener ,you get to meet people who've lived to 100 years. And get tips from different people over the years...Barnes Auto was owned by Mr white(married for over 60 years or more) ,whose property we looked after over a number of years....He explained to my dad who is names Mr Brown also(not relation).About a Chinese market gardens run by Mr Wong ,who invited his brother out.....I dont know if today that is why a suburb is called Toowong.2 WONGS
But other facts like the old part of Brisbane .Included the cemetery where a famous Aboriginal Boxer called the Black Prince is buried there in a tomb.
A book is published in Brisbane, backing up that story anyway...

Their is the Building where people where hanged ,i caught a part glimpse of this, but missed the Tomb of the Historical precession that went down Cemetery st ,that is now called Sylvan rd...

The trip goes part the Royal Brisbane Hospital, but before we see the Old Museum that i once went as a child with my dad a Gardner over 20 years ago.
The Royal Hospital was once treating people with the influenza plague from war time. The grounds of the EKKA ,where where makeshift tents where put up to look after the sick .....

Past the Hospital their use to be a pond that over the years got smaller and smaller.I heard that Black Swans use to go there ,and light water planes use to land on the pond.(I remember ducks a very long time ago,but the pond is lost to me now,to exactly know where it is...Near the golf course at the back of Kelvin Grove .

The Government House (on Government Hill)had a pond as-well.And residents who've lived their along time ,have seen the floods take a path .That use to be the natural waterway .

later that day....I was driving and came across a group resting in the park .....
(I thought how about asking the guys to attend the Tug of war event in November.....however my wisdom told me "no" ,after a quick discussion my the friendly men closest to me-where i parked my car to chat.)
Just came across a park with over 30 seventh day Adventist on a tree cutting fund raising drive...
Families and tree cutters where along the Payne Rd Park.
This is a common sight annually ,as These groups are like a migrating flock from the Red Bank Plains area...What strikes me is that the Inala Church, is located in another region a suburb off the main highway to the direction to Ipswich..

I ha...d a father and son from this group before the EKKA,cut some trees.
As they door knock the area. This is not the first time Ive seen the tree cutter.
As being a Gardner in Brisbane ,working for my father...you get to meet or see other Brisbane gardeners and teams.

Quote from Dad is you need 2000 gardeners this part of the year, and in the dry parts only 30.Its a stretch or words...but its a lucrative industry if you have the knowledge and work the local Real Estates .As you could not exist ,on only private customers.

I would say this about the visiting tree cutters,as i asked them if interested about coming to the 26th Tug of war event. It is not viable as they attend their church on Saturdays.Rather than a lot of different other Churches whose service in on a Sunday.
Sunday you can work ,however after 10am.
