and needless to say with a Motorcycle with a top speed of 63 mph when I Am forced to get on highway 75 to go to the store everyone Is tailgating Me and flying past Me Including the worst Horse trailers by Non professional drivers.
I Am puzzled about something In the movie On Any Sunday They said Motorcycles have around 80 Horse power vs a car with 2000 Horse power. I had a Kawasaki 400 2 stroke Dirt Bike that was familed away from Me It was fast I rode It fast as It would go but I doubt It had 80 Horse power I bough a China madeTank Raptor R3 250 cc top speed 63 mph so I bought a Ninja 500 cc Engine on Ebay to put on Its rated 50 Horse power but Its too big & heavy so I Am still looking for an Engine I Not know w to get
Thanks for all three of your films chaps.....wonderful stuff....'been there and done that'......so here I was adding my own 'two pennyworth' to your 'commentary' (hope you don't mind!)!. Braddan Bridge spectators (in the church yard?)......the guy playing his bagpipes whilst 'mum' got on with her knitting......pigeons playing 'chicken' in the road....oh, and the race bikes.......absolutely priceless!
Well lads wot a find this was, that is my late brother in law in front of the red hatted chaps at Bradden. He was a comedian and actor. he starred in the 80's hit Supergran. His name was Brian Bewley, Stage name (brian lewis). He raced at the TT in the 60's as a passenger with the late George Bell, who's sons Geoff and Ian Bell have both won sidecar tt's. Thanks lads don't know how i came across this, but it was a great surprise to see him enjoying that hot TT of 76. Cheers Richard
Lovely vids, guys. Special men raced there. Knew several, one survived a firing-squad in Spain, '36, the IoM was a 'holiday' for him (retired speedway/RR rider) one flew Viggens for a living, "It's only 3 straights and 3 corners," (but then he was the one who jumped off his Honda 1,000 six when the brakes failed at end of Anderstorp's straight - "I knew it would hurt less." But old mate from Oz, Geoff Taylor, Oz/SE Asia MX/RR sidecar-champ took one look, "It's dangerous," and went home.
Brought tears to my eyes. Nice one fellas :)
