GOP Presidential Candidate Series: Ron Paul. Sure, his ideas are radical: destroy the Department of Education! Destroy Medicare! And sure, he's got a touch of the crazy eye. Admittedly, it's hard to imagine this guy could win. And yet: Paul finished second at the Ames straw poll. And in a Tea Party world, here's a man who was brewing up extremist views about the banking system when Michele Bachmann was still an IRS employee. So, hard as it may be, let's push our powers of imagination, and try to picture what America would look like... if Ron Paul ruled.

2:05 that's not really fair..this is footage from the '08 election (no doubt, he got ron paul with that one, though) and saying a front runner has "no shot" is presumptuous (how would it look if he won?)..gotta give it to ron paul, he is one of the most entertaining people who've ran for president in a looong time! His whole "decriminalize drugs" and "end the fed" is the closest thing we've seen to real attn to alternative energy (hemp oil) and a resource based economy (no money).

@jeffthecoder Fair point you make about using footage from '08. We are a bit fast and loose there. Our editorial opinion is that Paul has little chance (as he did in '08), so we felt comfortable using it -- but you're definitely right -- if wins the nomination, then we've got a lot of egg on our face.

You are hearing sound bites and not listening to what ron paul is saying. People nowadays have short attention spans. They hear one thing and go with it instead of listening to the whole.
