Mitsubishi CBN end mills are available in Ball Nose -CBN2XLB- and Corner Radius End Mill -CBN2XLRB- types. The CBN2XLB and CBN2XLRB mills feature Mitsubishi Patent Pending Diffusion Bonding technology. Mitsubishi's Diffusion Bonding technology was developed to ensure the strength at the critical interface connection equals the carbide substrate. The increased strength of Diffusion Bonding allows for safe reliable milling at Extreme spindle speeds and the use of longer neck length tools. Conventional processes rely on older inserted braze operations.

Mitsubishi did not stop with Diffusion Bonding Technology, our Ball Nose end mills feature seamless cutting edge geometry for smooth chip flow and both the Ball Nose -CBN2XLB- and Corner Radius --CBN2XLRB- type end mills have Radius Tolerances of +- .005mm. To insure quality and consistency, Mitsubishi -one of a few manufactures of CBN in the world for cutting tools-- uses Mitsubishi CBN in our Turning and Milling products.
