the key to it is proof it. right? joe lewis never proofed that he was able to be effective in the street. because on the street are different rules. u can bite u can use what u want to defeat ur oponent.thats tough. thats what bruce lee was all about.toughness. joe lewis did sport tournaments we all know from karate kid. one hit one point. thats it.lee never did tournaments because it was never on his mind to do that. on the other side lewis never had the eggs to accept a real *street* fight.

joe lewis never had the eggs to accept a real fight because he was afraid to lose reputation. karate the way joe lewis did was sport. but on the street it doesnt work out. real fighting as it is is not in one or 2 hit the ref give me a point and im the winner. lol accept it. joe lewis never had a real fight. maybe what he had was full contact but one or two hit then the ref yelled break. i saw a lot of fights where joe lewis was with the back at the ringend and only the refs break protected him

trust me no guy on the street was going to whip joe lewis. 215lbs of solid muscle and mean as fuck{back then} training every day in karate, boxing and came from a wrestling back ground.

@Brucelee4eva if you look at kata, forms, you see many moves that you cant use in a tournament, bruce lee never invented these, in my opinion, bruce took away the soul of martial arts.

@tonyvalente the movie clip look like a chunk is missing. The first two were side kicks, but the third kick looks different. You can compare his recovery, and body movements. All I see is after the guy got hit. Looks sort of like he got hit with the left rear leg and not the right leg. does not look like a side kick.Has this video been altered?
