I even trained so mach at that stage, i was too strong to finish naraku with double special attack, I had to start all over again the mission mode ! Anyway, I found tips on net and beat this to finally unlock his arena. They say you should use fire tactic which increases your level the fastest, and then your partner will glow red for short time . Then you press circle and do the team combo special. You have to do it before yoor partner take damege and your level drops.

When your out on the map screen, it'll say what Match level you are. Also, if either you or your partner gets enough, the match level will drop, so be careful about that. And the highest Match level is "Great".

how do i know what match level i have and how many match levels are there?

The same button that you pushed for the normal finisher, as the square + X is partner attack.
