  • why can't a movie just be a movie anymore?

  • It's not racist if there is only one or two movies of this kind. But when Hollywood churns out film after film of white man saving poor natives type of movies, it is racist.

e.g. Dance with wolves, pocahontas, last sumarai, district9, avatar, dune, etc.

Need I say more. If avatar was number 1 or 2 on this list and not the 1029192924th, then it's not racist.

  • @hellcat1988 Because racist people make movies and push stereotypes in these movies. A movie will fucking never be just a movie.

  • White men saves the day like always. That is in every fucking action movie. White men saves the black people and white man saves the day and the whole fucking movie. Hollywood has always been racist so this is not surprising that this theme was used in Avatar.

  • Raping Africa?

How about a bit closer to home: North America! You're sitting right on top of the corpses and ruins of hundreds of First Nations.

  • I didn't know caucasions were experts on whats racist and whats not? The track record should tell you enough in itself about who is qualified and who isn't on this issue. F students think he is qualified over the A student lol.

  • Assuming that a white man can't or shouldn't save the day... sounds like racism to me, to be honest. If it weren't for white Christians and humanitarians who spoke up for abolition, then there would still be slavery today. You liberal people seriously have a very bitchy and narrow way of looking at EVERYTHING...

  • Racist doesn't always manifests itself in explicit forms. Not shouting nigger does not necessarily make you a non-racist. You could be abhorrent against calling black people niggers but deep inside still feel that black people are less intelligent, making you still a racist. So this film while not explicitly racist, is nonetheless racist.

  • I haven't seen Avatar, but I'm gonna guess that Deliverance was a thousand times more racist than blue cat people, but nobody gives two shits about hurtfull stereotypes when it's white people.

  • @PatriotsDomain +1

besides wtf is up with these morons? his suppose to go in their and learn how they function so they can communicate with them and explain them they need the materials under the tree. instead he fucks around with stupid "romance" getting every one killed instead of doing his fucking job... the movie is awfull (black guys can't be the hero, just unrealistic :P )

  • @PatriotsDomain yeah! they are normal people just like everybody else!
