It's nice to see you again Dana and I'm glad things are going alright. Yeah, I'm blaming my lack of motivation on Winter and...my cat...ice cream? Still though, it looks like you've put up as many or more videos than I have, so you go!

Dana: Kaye here in the middle east. Thanks for sharing your news in your newest vid, I've missed you. I hope you soon feel better. Latest from me is that I got laid off in the meltdown (it's everywhere) so may be going home to the great white north sometime soon. Kaye_Martin

over my med's.....just keep an open mind honey, and make sure your doctor has an open mind , and start trying them out one at a time , if it does some nasty's too you, go back and tell him that one is out lets try the next one, eventually you'll hit that one med , that is right for your body...when you find it you'll know it...it will do the brain trick with the least dirty-work...lasting depression rarely ever happens to anyone who doesnt already have the brain chemistry to be depressed

are like speed without a buzz, some frazzle your nerves, others just give you a little upset stomach, but , one of them is going to work for your particular chemistry, and have very little side effect- you just gotta find that pill !, for me it is prozac....for other people it might be zyprexa....ive been on every one including experiments !...warfarin, zoloft, cimetidone, ranitidil , another one that started with a "c" that ive forgot, and i had issues with all of em', even dumped a doctor once

hey sweety, im MtF trans too , im also by luck of the draw, bipolar(manic- depressive), i have to take serious mood stabilizers and anti - depressants, thia is what you need to know : #1 dont let the doctor just put you on whatever he chooses and leave you there; make sure you have an understanding that the two of you are going to go by process of elimination till you find the one that works for you....yes they all have their little idosyncratic pet side effects, some knock you out , some
Kaye,
So sorry to hear about the job, and thanks for the words of encouragement. Wishing you hte best and a safe trip back home.

if you turn out to be in that group, that is nothing to be ashamed about, serotonin(the brain chemical in question here) is very tricky stuff...if levels are correct and you just have a blue period in your life , then you might not need drugs, if levels go too low you are going to get depressed, it's biology, if they go to high you are going to get hypo-manic, which you dont want to be ! so stay centered on treating it like a medical issue and you'll come out shining like new.....luv ya gal
