Satsang with Burt Harding.

Understanding is the ability to see the Oneness beyond the duality. For example, thought and awareness are opposites since thought is finite while awareness is infinite. Yet to see their oneness means clear seeing. You cannot see their oneness until you see them as opposite.

  • What I ask my students is; do you think in words, pictures or both? As in, do you hear your thoughts, see your thoughts, or both? Take a moment now and find out. I'll wait.

Now take your attention to That which is hearing the words and seeing the pictures. What is THAT? What is aware of doing the looking? All this is inside you, find out what it is. If you don't know what That is - and we are with ourselves 24-7 from birth to death - how can one possibly imagine one knows oneself, or another?

  • everything is imagination, get rid of all imagination then you will see things for how they really are=love whatever you wana call it, and not with your illusionary interpretation which blinds you from what needs to be SEEN

  • actually he said "I think, therefore I am"

  • i think its descaretes

  • the person who quoted this? I'm not sure, it just came to me while watching this..

  • whats the guys name?

  • Q: Is everything you see, a thought?

When your sitting in a room just looking around at what is in the room. Not thinking but just looking at a table or at the fire place. THANK U

  • Thanks for the vid, It was pretty good. Pre -thought thinking ? Mechanical,or cognitive ? I ain' t confused yet ,but you're trying ! Peace.

  • My best days are the ones where I can't even think a thought, the mind is just empty, I am serene and I just Am, so I just surrender to that. Still a good way of looking at this subject though.

    Thank You.

  • Thinking is not who You are. Thoughts will rise as the brain interacts with a perception of me.
