thank god for plexi-glass (it shatters in largers pieces...if I remember the Lucic-Van Ryn Hit)...still sucks to be a spectator that gets the worst of it

They still use glass. The plexi-glass is used only in older rinks and often behind the net. Otherwise, it still shatters in newer rinks made equipped with the new NHL style glass.

I was there too. further away. It took a crazy long time to replace the glass. WAY to long. Like 45 minutes. Well its plastic reflex type glass now. Wont see any more breaking like this.
