Peeling a viga

I like my spud for peeling, and in the spring when the sap is running. The bark just falls off the log.

You need a different axe--a broad head one that's designed just for that job. They do make 'em ya'know.

Im not bitching or anything, it just seemed like the "standing dead trees" wert so inportant. But they are, they provide shelter and food for birds and other animals. Dead trees are an ecosystem in an ecosystem.
