Another segment of a synchronization between Dark Side of the Moon and Disney's fantasia, this portion set to "Money." Discovered by Troy Sheffield and Lilian Benson in the fall (September or October 2009). Please, let us know what you think!
I can appreciate what you are doing here. It is a pet project of mine to sync' video footage with Pink Floyd music. Although it is a bit of a stretch to see anything in this particular take, I would keep trying because you are definitely on to something in my opinion. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback, bro. This definitely does fall apart in places (not just this scene). E-mail me and remind me who you are: troy.sheffield@yahoo.com. Also, I'm realizing in a meditative state, it's possibly ANY movie with ANY album you feel is somehow appropriate (got Lord of the Rings going with Obscured by Clouds now). Don't worry about starting music right at titles; "A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to!" --Gandalf
You can also start Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band right at the Fantasia title screen so that the drum beats sound along with the opening of the curtain, then play Dark Side of the Moon after it ends and return to Sgt. Pepper's yet again after Dark Side ends. This sync falls apart a little in places, but has a great ending that mirrors the beginning of the sync and ends VERY appropriately. Play with manipulations combinations of these syncs for more mind melting fun!
Start The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band toward the end of the dancing mushrooms scene (the first drum beat should hit with the first ripples of the following scene). After the whole album ends, start Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon (making a playlist helps). Then, start up Sgt Pepper's again after Dark Side finishes, skip to "Within You Without You" either after the devil scene or when the souls fade off the screen just before the rebirth canal
