I think for this sequence they should have kept the beefier plasma gun sound. It sounds to very faint and a little too light. I think its the old sound effect that they used to have in the old 70's -> 80's movies.

I like James Cameron's imagination of the future from this movie. It has that foggy, eery, feel to it. The future from the new movie is good i'm not gonna lie but it doens't have that feel to it. ALSO the music gives it the creepy feel to it!

30 years later and im still waiting to see this grim future in a whole movie:/ salvation would've been ok had i not seen only what.. 5 or so acting terminators. shit, the game had atleast 20 in just the opening scene and skulls everywhere. to make it seem like an effort was made. they just cant make'em like this anymore

@SnotRockets55 Well....I don't believe in extrasensory phenomenon, but I respect your opinion. I like the original Terminator film because it is the most realistic representation of cyborg or android technology. Arnold acts perfectly, as the machine thinks and operates in the M mode (mechanically), and not with the silly humanisation seen in the later films. Computers can never attain intelligence...they only win at chess by creating huge decisions trees, again by mechanical means.

@10APC I actually think this sequence really happened - a terminator infiltrated the base and killed a lot of people, but Reese managed to survive it and that somehow Sarah dreamed about it, probably because of some extrasensory connection between the two of them. On the dvd the actual script is included and actually states some of this, too.
