http://www.targetcenteredgolf.com Eric Jones is a PGA Professional with a Masters degree in Sport Psychology. He is a World Long Drive Champion and author of The 5 Keys To Distance. In this video Eric shares his experience testing clubs before heading off to compete in the World Long Drive Championships. The testing equipment allows sophisticated measurement of club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, carry distance, and a variety of other factors. The radar captures the ball flight and allows Leith Anderson to see the acceleration curve, the action of the shaft as it loads during the swing and unloads at impact. Testing 9 different drivers side-by-side allows for accurate comparison to see which clubs perform best. One club emerged as the clear favorite, but the indoor measurements needed to be checked against reality on the range. So Eric and Leith test the clubs again on the range to verify what was happening in the real world with what the launch monitor equipment showed.
