Way to go America, this defining moment not only reflects who we are as a nation, but shapes who we will become in the days Ahead.

This was only the beginning, a long hard road lies ahead of Us America.. and only together can we get ourselves out of the mess created over the last eight years. together we can reshape this once great nation into the land our forefather promised us. It will not be easy, but together we can overcome... yes we can, Yes We Can, YES WE CAN!

I love this!!

Thank goodness change is coming to America. I'm glad we took our country back on November 4. The events of last eight years have sickened me, and now I feel hope that we will rise together as Americans and be the great country we can be. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. You ROCK!!!

My hopes are that the next 8 years(for a start) are the opposite of the last 8 years, I do think we MIGHT be on the right track now.. 11/4/2008 .. we as an American people did at least ONE right thing

They are both part of it. It wouldn't have been any better with McCain. In fact, with McCain there would have been no doubt that war was going to happen. At least with Obama there's a certain façade that will be necessary to adhere to.

Plus, it's always nice to see the trampled on rise up and achieve what only a few short decades ago would have seemed impossible. You can no longer say, "A Black president?? Not in my lifetime."

Look at the negativity of your comments to a foreigner. First you accuse a foreigner of causing the Republicans to lose the election. Then you thank God that this foreigner isn't in the US because he/she lacks intellegence (I believe that's how you misspelled the word intelligence).

And no the tired old excuse (well, I thought the person was an American) doesn't work. This isn't Disneyland. Planet Earth has many people, not all are Americans. Deal with it.

I don't know what words you take exception to, but I have always believed in the freedom of speech and god knows I have critisiced Former pres. Bush many times and if someone wanted to defend him when I thought he was wrong, that was their right and thank god we have the right to vote and express our opinion via the vote.

It would give me great pleasure to say that I am wrong about what will happen. Certainly, if anyone can prove me wrong, Obama would be that person. Just listening to him speak reminds me of JFK. Obama has the same presence of mind.

I have to admit one thing, however. It feels like Obama has just been given the helm of the Titanic just after it hit the iceberg. My admiration for Obama has risen greatly over the past few months. His ability is still to be tested. I hope for the best.

I must take exception with your words. If another wishes to criticize the US, he has that right. We're supposed to be the beacon of freedom, not the darkness of hell. What he says is true. The Fed is private. His other choices are very good ones. He seems to know a lot about the US. We can have differences without wishing ill will on someone, can't we?? Has the US gone so polarized that those who think differently are automatically condemned??? Isn't that like Hitler and Stalin??
