Brief video of what was going on in Salem Massachusetts Halloween 2009. If you were unable to attend this year just take a look at this video. You will see the memorial for the supposed witches who had been hanged in 1692. You will also see the graveyard adjacent to the memorial. However, none of the supposed witches are buried in this graveyard. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

  • that was not gallows hill, they were not hung there, that is old burying point cemetary and the section your filming is a memorial to those 18 whom were hung and 1 presesed to death..gallows hill is approximately 4 miles from this memorial. by the salem water tower..

  • @awitchywoman I did realize that was not Gallows Hill but only after I had said it and I didn't edit the video. Thank you for your input. Are you from the Salem area?

  • compliment for video..watch my favourite story by salem.search film by bert ira gordon the coming aka burned at the stake 1980,real story by salem 1692.

  • @maocridi Thank you, I will check that story out. I enjoy the history of it all.

  • Nice video, but your information is really whacked out.

Martha Corey was one of the last ones to be hanged.

The seats go in order, from the left side to the right, starting with Bridget Bishop.

  • Thanks for viewing my video and for your comments. I guess I have been away from the area too long and my memory was foggy. As for the seats, the vido shows the dates. Thanks again.

  • HAHAH My friend Josh at 4:00. haha

  • I love Salem year round!Halloween night is the most fun ... but if you want too experience it without a huge crowd September is the best..... I'm going too possibly be selling my Gothic boxes and jewelry there soon .... they support local artists which is great for people like me! Great town ... although the actual witch trials happened in Danvers MA .... it use too be Salem MA in colonial days, but after the witch hysteria they changed it too move forward. There's still old homesteads there

  • The colors of the leaves during Autumn is just amazing. I can't wait until I get a chance to visit this beautiful town.
