@mxylplitz1234 Whether or not the consequences are accepted, does it change the fundamental nature of the situation?
"I don't want to see unwashed, smelly naked hippies drunk in the park."
Let me spin that back on you: I don't want to see unwashed, smelly naked hippies drunk in the park be arrested. Why does your opinion override mine?
It's your opinion she should be beaten, kidnapped, tied up and thrown in a cell, then? No wonder the US was created to be a republic, not a democracy.

@HeyItzMeDawg That's just it, he & his ilk don't accept the consequences. They purposefully seek to break the law so that they can be "persecuted". I agree, there are many laws that are unjust and need to be changed. As for him having to wait a year before trial or whatever, I agree that was too long of a timeframe. The US isn't fucked unless you are a paranoid, delusional with a persecution complex. As for the original crime, I don't want to see unwashed, smelly naked hippies drunk in the park.

@mxylplitz1234 Consequences accepted.
The laws are still stupid. The judge is still a moron. The police are still abusing their authority. The sentence is still unjust. The United States is still fucked.
What's your point here?

everyone should do this. who will work the city. arrest everybody.i am seriously thinking about moving to keene

outreach to the jury sounds like jury tampering to me

All I see is an idiot punk that wants to play the, "I am a victim" card. The friend was ILLEGALLY drinking in a public park; and one place I read said she was also topless. Ian BROKE THE LAW by obstructing justice in the friends arrest. Are the laws stupid? Maybe they are. But, even King Jr. (a true civil activist, not some whiney punk) asknowledged that when you violate a law that is unjust, you ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES. Just a bunch of idiots wanting to incite a problem.

Absolutely disgusting. We are suffering under the greatest protection racket the world has ever seen, and their enforcers are some of the most despicable human beings in the world. You guys are exposing them for the violent thugs that they are and that makes you heroic. Keep fighting the good fight!!!!

Why didn't anyone stand in front of the sheriff's car at the end?
-
Disgusting...the cops surely feel good knowing some punk who didn't respect their authority is being punished real good like
-
The police are pussies. Without their tax payer provided weapons, cars and cages they are nothing.
The Free Staters aren't going to stand in front of cop cars if the police are arresting actual bad guys. in this case they were kidnapping someone for doing the same thing people were doing 50 feet away....drinking alcohol in public. As long as you aren't getting rowdy/shit faced what's the problem?
Anyone know the phone # for the courthouse/judge?
I really respect Ian, he stands by his principles. I think it's stupid that they threw him in a cage for standing in front of a police car. No damage was done, nobody was wronged, he has been punished for disobeying authority.

Standing infornt of a cop car shows NO FEAR of the state....we need more people standing infront of cop cars in situations like that
