Review of Asus 24-inch 1080p Monitor - VW246H

A review on my monitor, the VW246H. I put in a sample of what crysis looks like on the monitor, all settings are very high, except for physics and something else that doesnt have to do with the actual graphics. Things look way better in real life than from what you see here. Trust me, its ideal for pc gaming, haven't seen blu ray on it yet though.

Hey, i bought this monitor yesterday and i have a very strange problem with it. If i connect my pc ( graphics card : ATI Readeon HD 5670 with 1 HDMI, 1 DVI and 1 VGA output) it looks horrable with VGA. Then i tried DVI and everything looks just great in Windows, but if i start a game then Windows says : No graphics card.

If I plug HDMI in the monitor it has 4 black arbors ? ( i don´t know the english word for black zones ^^ ) but the games works, just like with VGA... Can someboy help me plz ?

At what resolution do things kind of start to look bad? I mean 24 is pretty big. I just wanna make sure if I need to lower resolutions for games. Great vid.

@workshop4life1 anything below 1680x1050 looks awful on this monitor to me, anything below 1080p looks not as good.

@xnakurax the only difference is the size, 242 is smaller but like 1 inch and it has a 5 millisecond response time, and the 246 has a 2 ms response time, so i rather have the faster response time to have better looking video.

@dtrieuu i can guess... maybe you must set in preferences of mac osx the option to duplicate the display or clone don't remember i made that only 1 time and now i got imac.

I just got a similar one but in 23". Has anyone noticed that whites look kinda grey in standard mode?
