When I 1st heard Betty Davis I had N E V E R heard anyone say the things she was saying or sing the way she did; it spoke to my heart it was how I felt at the time... I was 17 years old and in the 1970’s NO ONE ever had the nerve to say the things she was saying and in the way she sung it!!! No, she is not the ‘Black of the white’ anybody she is Betty Davis the one and only!

In England, a great actress named Vanessa Redgrave(Blow Out) who Betty knew from her modeling days, was having some trouble getting people to work with her..at that time she had been blacklisted because of her ties to the communist party..When she said kids, charities, we were off an gone. We went to schools, churches, TV shows..she could not resist helping. She always spoke of doing more, after we made it big. Till then, she did what she could do.
