This is a very Beautiful song!I've been actually waiting to hear it on the Radio. When I heard it......Dang It hits me everytime.I do wish my two daughters(grown now) and my Granddaughter (grown too) would listen to the words of this Song!

Beautiful song! Heartbreaking for those who grew up without their dads. Too bad Gerald Alston or The Manhattans didn't make a Christmas album; only aware of one other holiday song by them pre-Gerald.

for those who didn't have a daddy. this is my fav christmas song next to christmas shoes

I like your comment about Shanice's vocal range. She had that distinction before Mariah carey, if I remember correctly. What happened to vocalists who could actually sing?!?!

@Gunnybunny353 Thanks very much. This was recorded in 1988 when she was only 15, so she was before Mariah who came out with a blast in 1990. They are still around, so too is Shanice who is working on a comeback for early 2011. Kepp supporting real artists.
